     American Baptist Churches of USA. American Baptist Churches can be found in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.  About 1.5 million of us worship and find inspiration in 5,800 congregations.

Foundation Belief...

      Local congregation - the fundamental unit of mission, we practice autonomy. (that is each church governs itself)

God...

       We worship the God of the Bible. HE is known to us in the trinity of three persons, God the Father, Jesus the incarnate Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Bible...

        The divinity inspired word of God, the final written authority and is trustworthy for faith and practice.

Gospel...

        The central message of the Bible, the Good News of the atoning death and resurrection of Christ Jesus, knowing that salvation and eternal life are granted in grace through faith to all who trust Christ Jesus as Lord and savior.

        American Baptist Congregations are called by God through Christ Jesus to be the communities of faith - empowered by the Holy Spirit to live as witnesses and agents of God's Love and justice in the church and in the world; vital in worship; dynamic in proclamation; effective in teaching; loving in fellowship; faithful in stewardship; and in compassionate service.

       We partake in three ordinances, which exemplify obedience to our Lord's commands:

Believers, Baptism, and the Lord's Supper.
